SIMON WARDER 6th
MEMORIAL PROSTATE CANCER SQUASH TOURNAMENT

The Simon Warder Memorial Squash tournament is named after a local Sarnia man who was actively involved with squash. Simon was instrumental in the formation of the Sarnia Junior squash program, an active member of Squash Ontario as part of the Master Doubles committee, an accomplished player and a National level squash referee. After a 5 year battle he succumbed to prostate cancer in December of 2011.

WHO WE SUPPORT

On behalf of Bluewater Health Foundation, our urologists and the entire Prostate Cancer Clinic team, it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all of the players at this year’s Simon Warder Memorial Pro-Am Squash Tournament. It is a true honour for Bluewater Health to receive funds from this important event celebrating the life of Simon Warder. We are grateful to the many sponsors, event organizers and members of our community whose generosity and support have made this tournament possible. By allocating the funds locally to Bluewater Health’s Prostate Cancer Clinic, the tournament, its players and sponsors are making a difference for so many men in the Sarnia-Lambton community.

Warm regards,
Kathy Alexander,

Executive Director
Bluewater Health Foundation

WHO WE SUPPORT

On behalf of St. Joseph’s Hospice, we are truly honoured to be one of the recipients to receive proceeds from this years Simon Warder Memorial Squash Tournament.

St. Joseph’s Hospice has been serving the community since 2005 and focuses on quality of life for people facing terminal illnesses and support for their care-givers. The funds received will be directed towards our new second Palliative Care Clinic Assessment Room.  Our Palliative Care Physicians provide support regarding the management of pain and other symptoms as well as psychosocial support.   St. Joseph’s Hospice works diligently to provide the community of Sarnia Lambton with the very specific services required, but cannot do it without the financial support from the community.  All the programs and services at St. Joseph’s Hospice are free of charge.

With your generous support we can help even more patients, their families and loved ones and offer them the best possible care they need.

Those we serve at St. Joseph’s Hospice remain the true beneficiaries of your support and generosity.
